spoilt for crepe myrtles

Crepe myrtles are one of those plants that flower so generously, we like so much and have planted so widely that they've actually become a bit invisible. Just another crepe myrtle doing its thing over the course of a long season. But then you come across one that's so well-grown and full at that golden time of evening, you're stopped and reminded just how fabulous they are.

I agree. The shape and the trunk are just lovely and the it flowers!! I just wish they grew just a little more quickly. I am considering planting one in my courtyard but it is north facing and gets a lot of Summer hot sun. Still undecided.
